What's your story?

I have a thing with introductions. I hate them. I hate sitting in a circle of people I know or don't know and listening to obligatory introductions. Hi, I'm Eilis. Ummm... I work in a development office, graduated from college in 2008 with a degree in English, live in Youngstown, ummm... what else do you want to know? Oh, we have to include one interesting thing about us. Hmmm. I tell people that I'm not funny which just makes them laugh even harder.

I'm tired in my job, but don't want to leave. I have application forms for exotic places saved to my computer desktop. Some are half finished. Some deadlines have passed. The last one is due April 1. I still have time. They remind me that I need to get back to writing.

I don't want this to be one of those blogs that people update every day or every week for a while and then nothing for months. Those blogs annoy me. Yet, I'm probably a hypocrite because I'll probably end up doing the same thing.

  1. I didn't do any introduction on my blog. I hate them, too. :)

Hope you're going to apply for whatever it is (job or school?) in your-so-called exotic place! Where are they, btw?

  2. :)

Not too exotic... I'm looking at a year long volunteer program that could take me to Florida, Chile, Arizona, or Cleveland. If I don't go with that, possibly grad school somewhere.

  3. Hi! I found your blog through 20sb. I am currently an English major, nice to meet a successful graduate! Also, I LOVE the header of your blog. :)
